The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed 27 new cases of Covid-19 infection in Singapore on Thursday (June 17).
This brings the total number of cases to 62,366.
There are 20 cases in the community today, of whom 19 are linked to previous cases and one is currently unlinked.
One unlinked case
Case 64286 is a 72 year-old female Singaporean who works as a counter staff at the McDonald's located at Tiong Bahru Plaza.
She is asymptomatic and was detected when she was tested for Covid-19 on Jun. 16 as part of MOH's surveillance testing for staff working at Tiong Bahru Plaza.
Her test result came back positive for an infection on the same day.
Her serology test result is pending.
She had previously received her Covid-19 vaccine doses on Mar. 8 and Mar. 29.
19 linked cases
There are 19 new cases of locally-transmitted Covid-19 infection that are linked to previous cases or clusters.
- 17 cases are linked to the 115 Bukit Merah View Market & Food Centre cluster. Of these, 12 were already quarantined. The cluster now has 56 confirmed cases.
- One case is linked to the Case 64184 cluster (a 27 year-old male India national who works as an engineer at Ecoxplore Pte Ltd).
- One other case was identified as a household contact of a previous case and already in quarantine.

Seven imported cases
Amongst the seven imported cases,
- One is a Singaporean returning from India.
- Two are Singapore Permanent Residents returning from India
- Three are Work Permit holders who arrived from Indonesia and Malaysia, including two migrant domestic workers.
- One case entered Singapore waters from Indonesia without valid documentation and was arrested by the Singapore Police Force's Police Coast Guard.
They have all already been placed on SHN upon arrival in Singapore and were tested while serving SHN.
29 cases discharged
29 more cases of Covid-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities.
In all, 61,960 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.
There are currently 151 confirmed cases who are still in hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and one is in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
221 are isolated and cared for at community facilities. These are those who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for Covid-19.
34 have passed away from complications due to Covid-19 infection.
