Red tortoise cake, also known as ang ku kueh, is a Chinese pastry that consists of a sweet filling encased in a soft, sticky skin made of glutinous rice flour.
They are traditionally bright red in colour and are often prepared for special occasions like a newborn baby's first month celebration and elderly folks' birthdays.
