A man in Ang Mo Kio claimed he had a harrowing, violent experience involving his neighbour, when all he was doing was cleaning a window panel outside his house.
The incident was shared to Facebook group Complaint Singapore by Alex Tohsw on June 13.
He wrote that he was standing on a metal ladder while outside his house when suddenly, his neighbour allegedly attacked him from behind with a bicycle chain, which was attached to a lock pad.
Alex claimed that he was hit twice on the head and also on the shoulder.
Second neighbour helped him
His head bled profusely and he was in "severe pain”.
His kids, who were in the house, were startled to see him "covered in blood".
Fortunately, another neighbour came out to check out what was going on, and stopped the first neighbour.
Alex was worried for the safety of his children, as his front door was unlocked, but said that his helpful neighbour kept an eye on the alleged assailant.
What sparked the confrontation?
Alex said the neighbour claimed he was "blocking his path" to return home, as he "placed his bicycle by the walkway”.
He also shared pictures of himself, including one of what appears to be of himself in a hospital bed, and what looks like a blood trail on the floor of a corridor outside an HDB flat.
Man in his 60s arrested
