A Ministry of Home Affairs officer was among the confirmed Covid-19 cases reported yesterday.

She was an unlinked case in the community.

The Internal Security Department (ISD) responded to media queries on May 19.

Prior to that, she was working on split shift and last reported for work on May 14.

She felt unwell and saw a doctor on May 16.

She had received her first dose of Covid-19 vaccine on May 8.

ISD is assisting MOH with contact tracing.

ISD staff in close contact with officer have been quarantined

ISD added that all staff members who were identified as close contact with the said officer have been issued Quarantine Orders.

The office premises and common areas have been deep cleaned as well.

ISD is closely monitoring the condition of the officer and other quarantined staff.
