Two McDonald's outlets at Pasir Ris Elias Community Club and another located in Bedok Reservoir have been shut indefinitely due to Covid-19.
The two outlets will remain closed until all swab test results for those working there have returned negative.
Details of the closure of the Pasir Ris Elias CC outlet were shared on Facebook on May 21 by Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean, who is MP for Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC.
CC serves as vaccination centre
He wrote that he was informed on May 20 that a delivery rider at the Elias CC McDonald's outlet tested positive for Covid-19.
The CC also serves as a vaccination centre in Pasir Ris.
But the individual did not visit the CC's vaccination centre during his infectious period, and the vaccination centre continues to serve residents, Teo wrote.
As a precaution, the CC has undergone deep cleaning.
Bedok Reservoir outlet closed due to close contact
The Bedok Reservoir outlet of the fast-food chain was also closed after a household contact of the worker tested positive the same day.
McDonald's told The Straits Times the two are employees of i-vic Logistics, one of its food delivery vendors.
Both personnel last worked on May 17.
McDonald's said its outlets at Bedok Reservoir and Elias CC were immediately closed and deep-cleaning was carried out in the restaurant premises on the evening of May 20.
All sent for swab tests
All employees from the same restaurants are sent to take the swab test and to self-isolate, the fast-food chain said.
McDonald's is currently working closely with the Ministry of Health on contact tracing.
Self-disinfecting coating has been applied on surfaces in all common areas within the CC, Teo wrote.
Daily cleaning of Elias CC will also he stepped up, he added.
