A logistics firm located in Yishun has opened up their premises to food delivery riders.
Since May 16, 2021, Singapore has entered the Heightened Alert (HA) phase, where dining in F&B establishments is prohibited.
As a result, those who are constantly on the move for their jobs, like taxi drivers and deliverymen, found themselves in a pickle, as it was unfeasible for them to return home to eat and rest.
While the rule exercises some flexibility that allows those in such professions to eat at public places (e.g. void decks), Bao Logistics is one of the companies that has stepped up to offer an alternative.
A Facebook post by Bao Logistics on May 19, addressed to food delivery riders in Yishun, said that riders are welcome to use their space.
Bao Logistics added that they will also be providing aircon, access to a toilet, charging points, free WiFi, and a prayer area.
In addition to TraceTogether and temperature-taking, individuals using the space have to practise safe distancing from each other, as well as to keep their masks on when they are not eating or drinking.
Those who have received alerts for recent exposures to Covid-19 cases should refrain from using the premises.
You can find them at Northpoint Bizhub 2 Yishun Industrial Street 1 #07-09, Singapore 768159, from 12pm to 10pm daily.
Due to limited space, those who would like to swing by are encouraged to WhatsApp them at 8436 8166 before heading down.
