Decathlon has eco-friendly hiking shoes – the NH500 – with affordable prices that start at S$60.

NH500
The NH500, is the sporting goods retailer's line of eco-friendly hiking shoes.

Using recycled materials, 30 per cent of the shoe's sole is made with recycled rubber tires and its inner sole is made with 85 per cent polyurethane foam.

The shoe's upper instep and tongue are made from 100 per cent recycled polyester whereas its laces and webbings are made from recycled plastic bottles.
A totally new manufacturing process had been used to design the sole for the NH500 said Decathlon's Product Manager, Emmanuelle Francois.
The technically advanced new model has also taken into consideration the feedback from the old model into its design and improved the shoe's comfort and grip.
Featuring dual-hardness technology, the shoe's EVA sole has two sides, where the harder side is facing the ground and the softer side is in contact with the foot.

Available online, the NH500 shoes come in different designs and colours with both men and women sizes. Prices start from S$60, although the promo prices start from S$40.

Three of the NH500 shoes are currently on promotion – the men's hiking shoes NH500, men's waterproof mid cut off-road hiking shoes NH500 and the women's nature hiking shoes NH500 – and are left with limited sizes.

Besides this, Decathlon also offers some eco-friendly sports apparel and equipment like its men's cardio training mesh t-shirt, women's cardio training tank top and DST100 Suspension Trainer.
