Qatar Airways is giving away 21,000 round-trip tickets to teachers around the world as a gesture of appreciation.
The promotion was launched on Oct. 5 to celebrate World Teacher’s Day.
It will end on Oct. 8.
The giveaway is open to a broad category of teachers from around 75 countries where the airline operates.
All the airline requires of winners is for a valid employer ID to be presented at the airport at the point of check in.
How giveaway works
Each country will receive a daily allocation of tickets staggered over the next three days.
Those chosen will receive a round-trip economy class ticket to any of the airline’s 90 destinations.
They will also get a 50 per cent-off voucher on one future return ticket that can be used by a family member or a friend as well.
Both tickets will be valid for travel until Sep. 30, 2021.
In other words, as a teacher, you will receive, if chosen:
- A complimentary Economy Class ticket to any of Qatar Airways destinations around the world
- 50 per cent off a future flight with Qatar Airways to use for yourself, a friend or a family member.
Teachers who successfully register for complimentary Qatar Airways tickets can benefit from the airline’s leading flexible booking policies.
Tickets issued up to Dec. 31, 2020 are valid for two years with unlimited date changes and the option to exchange them for a travel voucher with an additional 10 per cent value.
