The dog was apparently painted in orange and black stripes to look like a tiger.
The series of photos went viral after the Malaysia Animal Association shared them on its Facebook page.
However, the organisation is offering a mystery reward to anyone who has any information on the dog, should the dog truly be found in Malaysia.
Here's a translation of the post:
"Help Animal Malaysia to find out the location of the dog and whom it belongs to?
A mystery reward awaits informants with full details on the dogs' whereabouts, should this incideent take place in Malaysia.
WhatsApp Hotline Animal Malaysia +601120901097."
