Malaysian-Singaporean actor Lawrence Wong turned 32 on Aug. 5, according to his Wikipedia page.

Wong, who found fame in Chinese palace series "Story of Yanxi Palace", expressed his gratitude in an Instagram post on Aug. 6.

"So many things to be thankful for. I’m extremely blessed. 🥰" he said.

Accompanying the post are photos of Wong's presents.

Among the pile are cakes, cookies, chocolates, and a good number of bouquets, flowers or otherwise.

Although Wong is thankful for the gifts, he also said in a 8 Days interview that he had told fans and loved ones not to buy him anything this year.

Instead, he encouraged them to make a donation on his behalf to Kitten Sanctuary or Cat Welfare Society, as he feels that it would be more meaningful.

Calling himself a cat lover, Wong said that the two organisations have been consistently helping the cats in Singapore, which requires plenty of funds.

Besides cat causes, Wong also regularly donates to a number of other organisations. The Children’s Cancer Foundation is another cause that he feels strongly about.

Sweet.

Wong was previously in a kerfuffle involving his age, where internet users noticed that he may actually be six years older than his reported age.

If this were true, Wong would be 38 this year, instead of 32.
