As 2020 continues to act crazy, temperatures in Singapore on Aug. 11 night and early Aug. 12 morning soar to about 30°C.
This perfectly explains why you are feeling sweaty and sticky in the middle of the night and in the mood for your third shower.
The warmest weather just before midnight was at East Coast Parkway.
Temperatures there hit 29.7°C.
Tuas South on the west side of Singapore hit 29.5°C
The coolest area was Pulau Ubin, which hit 27.4°C.
This warm weather comes a month after Singapore was experiencing cool sweater weather at night.
During the first two weeks of July, the daily temperature on most days ranged between 24°C and 33°C, and even dropping to a low of around 23°C on some rainy days.
Warm weather expected to last
According to the Meteorological Service Singapore before August kicked in, the first fortnight of August 2020 was forecast to be warm and less wet compared to July 2020.
The daily maximum temperature is expected to range between 33°C and 34°C on most days, with highs of around 35°C on a few days, which explains the unbearable heat these past few days.
Warm and humid conditions are also expected on a few nights, with temperatures hovering around 28°C, when the prevailing southeasterly winds blow in warm air from the sea over land.
