Singapore's first indoor player versus player (PvP) airsoft arena is opening at HomeTeamNS Khatib in the Yishun area.
The tactical simulator game, also known as "TactSim", features moving wall panels to maximise gameplay experience by creating a different experience so players can play more than one round without getting bored or used to the environment.
Participants engage in skirmishes or scenario games against one another using airsoft replicas that launch 6mm plastic pellets at safe velocities.
The game caters to all levels of airsoft enthusiasts.
Shooting one another has never been safer.
Airsoft projectiles do not leave a mark on the participants, so they are advised to declare their hits when they are tagged.
Currently, TactSim is still not opened yet and interested parties can refer to this list of facilities indicating if they are open.
Two types of arenas
In total, TactSim offers two airsoft arenas: Player versus player, and one target shooting range.
Prices to be confirmed
Currently, with Covid-19 safe distancing measures in place, TactSim has not confirmed the finialised prices yet.
But there are some details provided, such as the PvP arena only allowing five pax per game, plus one marshall.
According to the HomeTeamNS Khatib website:
• 30 minute PvP modified gameplay which incorporates social distancing as part of the core game aspect
• Only two pax in target shooting arena, plus one marshall
• 30 minute target shooting with shooters segregated 2 meters apart
Although HomeTeamNS, SAFRA and People's Association members might get lower rates, any updates regarding finalised prices will be announced on the HomeTeamNS Khatib website.
