SMRT Corporation has announced changes to the operating hours of train services on the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) to prepare for the opening of Stage 2 of the line.
From July 20 to August 30, TEL train services will close earlier (9pm) from Mondays to Sundays.
From July 25 to August 30, TEL train services will start later (6.30am) on Saturdays and Sundays.
"The additional engineering hours will be used to continue testing of the integrated systems and trains in preparation for the opening of Stage 2 of the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL2)," said SMRT.
Commuters can use bus services 169, 856, and 901/M to travel within the Woodlands area that is curently served by the TEL. These bus services also reach Woodlands Station, where commuters can transfer to the North-South Line.
Do note that the timing of first and last trains departing from every station will vary during the planned closures.
SMRT advises commuters to check the departure times at the affected stations or on SMRT Trains’ website and social media platforms to better plan their journeys ahead of time.
