The Tintin Shop took to Facebook on July 25 to announce that it will be closing its store in Singapore amidst "tough times". Their next destination is still unknown, but the online store will still be operating.
The store, which opened in 2010, offers an array of Tintin merchandise such as t-shirts, mugs, figurines and other collectibles inspired by the Belgian comic "Adventures of Tintin".
Closing down in weeks
Due to "tough times", the store will be closing but will still be operating for another two to three weeks.
They expressed their gratitude to their customers and said:
"We would like to say THANK YOU to each one of you. To the Tintin fans coming from all over the world, thank you for making time to visit us during your trip in Singapore. We are truly humbled. And special shout out to all the fans in Singapore! Thank you so much for the love, concern and warm wishes over the last few weeks. We’ve never felt so much love coming from the home ground and truly appreciate it. Do continue to support our local businesses."
