An army regular has helped to save a life after he performed CPR on a man who had fainted at a traffic junction.
The Chinese article attached to the post indicates that the incident had taken place during the pandemic, which made it all the more applaudable.
According to the post, Koh was on midway through a run when he spotted a large crowd at the traffic junction.
The Formation Sergeant Major of Armour realised that the commotion had been caused by a man fainting.
He quickly performed a check on the man and attended to him.
"As Army personnel, we are trained in CPR. When I noticed that he has fainted, I asked the bystanders to call 995 and try to obtain an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Meanwhile, I performed CPR on him," he said.
The man's pulse returned and an ambulance arrived to take him to the hospital.
Koh shared that he was glad to have put his CPR skills to use, and added that the army sent him for a refresher course every two years.
"In this case, it has come in handy as I managed to save a life!"
