Police report lodged over Reform Party election posters taken down
On July 5, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) clarified that the two men who were taking down the posters were actually contractors engaged by the Reform Party.
"The Police would like to take this opportunity to advise members of the public to avoid jumping to conclusions, and refrain from uploading or circulating speculative videos or photos of persons removing election posters which suggest that they are up to mischief," the post wrote.
Facebook user contacted by Reform Party for clarification
A Facebook post with a video showing two men taking down the election posters circulated on July 3.
However, the user who shared the post added an update that he was later contacted by the Reform Party that the election posters had been placed wrongly, and that they were "doing corrective work".
