SPCA: S'pore authorities have gone to alleged dog abuser's unit, investigations ongoing

Earlier this morning, SPCA has issued an urgent appeal to look for a man in Singapore who allegedly abused a poodle.

The topless man was spotted hitting a poodle in a few videos.

The poodle had its limbs tied up.

Mothership understands that both NParks and the police have been alerted to the case.

In response to Mothership, the Executive Director of SPCA, Jaipal Singh Gill, updated that SPCA was alerted to the case this morning (July 18).

He said the videos depicted "appalling animal cruelty" and explained that the organisation had issued an urgent appeal in the interest of the animal's life and safety.

He thanked members of the public for their prompt assistance.

The authorities were also quick to respond to the case and have visited the unit, he added.

The dog is currently not under the care of the alleged abuser and investigations are ongoing.
