Lee Teng and his wife, Gina Lin, have lost their child about six to seven months into the pregnancy.

The Taiwanese host, who is based in Singapore, posted the devastating news to his Instagram account at around 1am on July 28.

His Chinese caption reads,

"Firstly, I would like to apologise

It is regretful that Little Beansprout won't be able to meet anyone.

He entered our lives quietly, and he's leaving quietly too.

Gina and I are in great pain

Especially Gina, as a mother

This period is really not easy

Please give us some time and space

We seek your understanding if we are unable to reply your messages

We will overcome this hurdle with strength

Hope that everyone is safe and healthy"

Proposed in March 2020

Lee, 36, proposed to Lin, who is in her late 20s, in March this year.

The latter is also a Taiwanese based in Singapore.

The couple had announced the pregnancy on May 25, where Lin was about five months along then, according to 8 World.

In another 8 World report, it was revealed that Lin experienced severe morning sickness.

Lee's post has been met with an outpouring of support from fellow artistes.

Aileen Tan, Patricia Mok, Yao Wenlong, and more expressed their condolences, and told the couple to take care.
