Golden Village Vivocity has undergone three rounds of extensive cleaning after being visited by a Covid-19 case, a July 24 Facebook post on Golden Village Facebook page stated.

The person with Covid-19 had visited Hall 4, along with other common areas such as the lobby, box office, automated ticket machines and toilets.

Incident happened two days after re-opening

An earlier post on July 23 stated that the visit had occurred on July 15, two days after re-opening.

The cinema had immediately cancelled all the upcoming shows in the affected hall afterwards.

It also activated its NEA-listed cleaning and disinfecting agency to conduct a deep cleansing of the hall and all general access areas.

Currently, safety measures at the cinema consist of:

  • SafeEntry or NRIC scans to check in and check out.
  • Temperature screening before entry into the mall or cinema.
  • Temperature screening of all staff twice a day. Staff are required to monitor their health, wear masks at all times and wash their hands regularly.
  • Crowd and queue management in place to ensure patrons practise safe distancing.
  • Floor markers to demarcate queue lines.
  • Safe-distancing seat stickers in the dining lounge and common areas.
  • Seats are reconfigured to ensure safe distancing between groups.
  • Regular cleaning and disinfecting of high touch point areas and between movies.
  • Hand sanitisers at various touch points.
