The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed an additional 277 cases of Covid-19 infection in Singapore, as of July 24.

This brings the total number of cases up to 49,375.

New places visited by Covid-19 cases

Several new locations have been added to the list of places visited within the past 14 days by Covid-19 cases when they were infectious.

These locations are as follows:

  • Jul. 10, 12pm to 2pm Hillion Mall (17 Petir Road) My Briyani House
  • Jul. 13, 12:10pm to 2:55pm Hillion Mall (17 Petir Road)

  • Jul. 14 9am to 9:30am Fu Chan Food Paradise (134 Jurong Gateway Road)

  • Jul. 14 12:50pm to 3pm JEM (50 Jurong Gateway Road) Robinsons

  • Jul. 14 2:05pm to 3pm Gandhi Restaurant (29/31 Chander Road)

Those who had been identified as close contacts of confirmed cases would already have been notified by MOH.

As a precautionary measure, persons who had been at these locations during the specified timings should monitor their health closely for 14 days from their date of visit.

They should see a doctor promptly if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection (such as cough, sore throat and runny nose), as well as fever and loss of taste or smell, and inform the doctor of their exposure history.

There is no need to avoid places where confirmed cases of Covid-19 have been.

The National Environment Agency will engage the management of affected premises to provide guidance on cleaning and disinfection, MOH said.

Case details

The vast majority are work permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.

The evening press release has been updated from the afternoon press release as two cases have been re-classified following contact tracing.

Of the three cases in the community, two were picked up as a result of MOH's proactive surveillance and screening, and one had already been placed on quarantine.

Two of today's community cases are linked to previous cases or clusters.

Of the two cases, Case 49440 was is part of a emergent workplace cluster.

One community case is currently unlinked.  He was identified from MOH's proactive screening of workers in essential services who are living outside the dormitories.

Epidemiological investigations of the unlinked case are in progress.

In the meantime, all the identified close contacts have been isolated and placed on quarantine.

Two imported cases

There are also two new imported cases who had been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arriving in Singapore.

Both imported cases are Dependant’s Pass holders who returned to Singapore from India on July 12.

They had been placed on 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN) upon arrival in Singapore, and had been tested while serving their SHN.
