Driver did not know the man
On July 21, Lianhe Wanbao reported that the driver, known only as Huang, was visiting a friend.
She had parked her car in a space in between two pillars near the lift.
As she was leaving the premises, she discovered the two bags of trash. She said:
"At that time I was a bit afraid, I didn't know if someone was pulling a prank on me. What if there were snakes or insects inside? Upon closer inspection, I realised it was leftover takeaway boxes inside, which is so disgusting."
Clarifying that she did not know the man after reviewing the dashboard camera footage, she said:
"No matter what, as long as you tell me the reason, even if it's leaving me a note, I would be grateful. This looks deliberate, and I can't find think of any reason to defend you... Why are you so disgusting?"
Huang also told the Chinese paper that she would apologise if she had made a mistake, and the other party should not have taken out his anger on her in this manner.
She added that the space did not have any signs indicating it was a reserved spot, and only parked there are she "was sure that she was not breaking any rules".
Lianhe Wanbao reported that Huang later found out that her friend had previously parked in the same spot before, and had been told by security to move the vehicle.
