If you're looking for more versions of brown sugar bubble tea, Baristart Coffee might be worth checking out.
The cafe specialises in food and beverages made with a special brand of Hokkaido dairy.
Baristart Coffee recently introduced a new line of brown sugar boba drinks topped with Hokkaido BIEI Jersey Milk custard cream on July 4.
The drink itself is also made with the same dairy.
BIEI Jersey Milk from Hokkaido
The milk and custard cream found in these drinks comes from Brown Jersey Cattle in Hokkaido, Japan.
What makes them unique is that there are only 800 of these cattle, according to Baristart Coffee's website.
That apparently makes for barely one per cent of the cow population in Japan.
The milk produced by these cattle are said to be richer and creamier than regular milk.
Brown Sugar Boba with Custard Cream
The drinks cost S$8.50 each.
Here's a look at the three versions:
1) Brown Sugar Boba
2) Brown Sugar Boba Jelly
3) Brown Sugar Boba Tea
An espresso shot is available for both the Brown Sugar Boba and Brown Sugar Boba Jelly drinks at an additional S$1.50.
Other Baristart options
Baristart Coffee also has other drinks and dessert options.
One popular item on the menu is its cream puffs, made with the same custard cream as the newly released drinks.
It also serves a cute bear-shaped shaved ice dessert.
