4 long weekends in 2021

Four public holidays fall on either a Friday or a Monday.

With that, Singaporeans will enjoy four long weekends next year.

  1. Jan. 1 - 3 (New Year's Day on Jan. 1)
  2. Feb. 12 - 14 (Chinese New Year on Feb. 12 and Feb. 13)
  3. Apr. 2 - 4 (Good Friday on Apr. 2)
  4. Aug. 7 - 9 (National Day on Aug. 9)

That is three fewer long weekends than in 2020, but is the same number in 2018 and 2019.

If you wish to strategise your leave-taking, here are five more long weekends you can add to your schedule if you pick your leave dates carefully:

  1. Apr. 30 - May 3 (if you take leave on Apr. 30 and May 3)
  2. May 13 - 16 (if you take leave on May 14)
  3. July 17 - 20 (if you take leave on July 19)
  4. Nov. 4 - 7 (if you take leave on Nov. 5)
  5. Dec. 24 - 27 (if you take leave on Dec. 24 and 27)

Do note that the dates for Hari Raya Puasa (May 13) and Hari Raya Haji (July 20) are subject to change though.
