IKEA will be reopening on June 19, 2020 after being closed for more than two months.
The date is in line with Phase 2 of post-circuit breaker.
In order to reopen safely, however, the furniture giant is taking some precautions.
This includes the gradual reopening of IKEA Restaurants, Bistros, and Swedish Food Market — meaning that they won't be available immediately.
The F&B reopening will take place over two weeks, according to IKEA.
Some other precautions are:
- Changes in Store Hours
- Limited Visitors: One person for every 10 square metres of floor area)
- Controlled number of people in queues
- Småland (playground) to remain closed
- Safe Entry procedure with thermal temperature monitors
- Co-workers and customers to wear masks at all times
Here are the new opening hours:
Alexandra:
Sundays to Thursdays, 10am – 9pm,
Fridays & Saturdays, 10am – 11pm
Tampines:
Sundays to Thursdays, 11am - 9pm
Fridays & Saturdays, 11am – 11pm
IKEA advises customers to visit on weekdays to avoid "delays and other inconveniences."
More details will be released on their website and social media channels.
