This year's National Day Parade will be quite different from its predecessors.
There will be no indoor stadiums or floating platform.
It will instead be a “more intimate and small-scale performances” on television and online, the chairman of the NDP executive committee, Brigadier-General Frederick Choo, said.
There will, however, still be funpacks.
Choo noted that Singaporeans have a "very close affinity with" funpacks, and that every Singaporean and PR household will be taken into account.
While details are scant so far, Choo estimates around 1.2 or 1.3 million households will be able to get their hands on the funpack.
The funpacks will consist of items that will help people interact with the show itself.
Choo assured that every Singaporean who "wants to collect a funpack" for the household, will get a funpack.
While it is still not certain how exactly these fun packs will be distributed, Choo stated that they will be working with various agencies and grassroots organisations to work out the distribution and collection model.
