On May 5, the Ministry of Health (MOH) announced 632 new cases of Covid-19 as of 12pm. There are a total of 19,410 cases.
Case 19,360 is a 20 year-old male Singapore Citizen who has no recent travel history to affected countries or regions.
He was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on May 5, and is currently warded at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases.
Prior to hospital admission, he had gone to work as a nurse at the community care facility at Singapore Expo.
Previous cases
A 52-year-old female Singapore citizen volunteering at Singapore Expo community isolation facility was one of the confirmed cases reported on Monday (May 4), she is currently warded at NCID.
She is identified as Case 18,669, and is a healthcare volunteer. She had no recent travel history to affected countries or regions.
Previously on May 2, a 34-year-old female Singapore citizen who was deployed at the Expo was also reported to have contracted Covid-19.
The woman was employed as a nurse by the Health Promotion Board and had no recent travel history to affected countries or regions.
She did not go to work since the onset of her symptoms.
