The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 373 new cases of Covid-19 as of 12pm on Thursday, May 28, 2020.
This brings the total number of reported cases in Singapore to 33,249.
The majority of the reported infections continue to be work permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.
There are no Singaporean or Permanent Resident cases reported on Thursday.
Further details will be shared in a separate announcement from MOH on Thursday evening.
S'pore could collaborate with New Zealand to develop Covid-19 vaccine
On Wednesday evening (May 27), PM Lee had a video meeting with New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern as part of the Singapore-New Zealand Virtual Summit.
According to him, both countries affirmed their commitment to keeping supply chains intact as the Covid-19 situation persists, and also spoke about a possible collaboration on Covid-19 vaccine development.
1 billion Covid-19 vaccines could be distributed from Sep. 2020 if clinical trials succeed
Meanwhile, another Covid-19 vaccine, which was developed by the University of Oxford and licensed to British drugmaker AstraZeneca, could be distributed from September 2020 if clinical trials succeed.
