Cabin crew keep service standards high as Care Ambassadors
120 of them were deployed to National University Health System (NUHS) around two weeks ago. 30 were assigned to National University Hospital (NUH).
They have adjusted well to their new roles as part of the healthcare support team, Senior Nurse Manager Quay Chwee Neo said on May 5.
"What impressed me the most was that all of them continued to behave professionally even when they were out of their uniforms. They were very polite," Quay said.
"Even though everyone was donning a mask, I could still see their smiles through their eyes throughout the day."
Quay added that the healthcare team also had much to learn from the cabin crew redeployed to local hospitals, as fellow service industry members.
Noormazreen Maswan, a nurse educator from Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, also praised the newly-trained Care Ambassadors for their professionalism in completing their tasks.
"They are very aware of the surrounding and they always anticipate the needs of those around them," Noormazreen shared, and was confident that the cabin crew members will perform well in their new roles in hospitals.
