Covid-19: 6 new clusters reported on May 3, Maxwell MRT station cluster now closed

MOH is monitoring existing clusters for further transmission.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced 657 new Covid-19 cases on May 3, 2020.

This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 18,205.

Six new clusters

MOH has also announced six new Covid-19 clusters on the same day.

Here's a breakdown of the new clusters:

  1. Three of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to a new cluster at NCS Hub (5 Ang Mo Kio Street 62).

  2. Nine of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to a new cluster at 16 Fan Yoong Road.

  3. 11 of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to a new cluster at 15 Gul Way.

  4. 29 of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to a new cluster at 23 Sungei Kadut Street 2.

  5. 24 of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to a new cluster at 9A Tech Park Crescent.

  6. 11 of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to a new cluster at 64 Woodlands Industrial Park E9.

Cluster at Maxwell MRT station now closed

MOH has been monitoring existing clusters for any further transmission.

As there have been no more cases linked to the construction site at Maxwell MRT station (50 Neil Road) for the past two incubation periods (28 days), the cluster has now been closed.

The cluster was announced on Apr. 2 with five cases.

One death

There was also one reported Covid-19-related death on May 3.

She was a 86-year-old female Singaporean (Case 14,744), who was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on Apr. 27.

She had a history of diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidaemia.
