Apr. 7 is the first day of Singapore's circuit breaker period, where all non-essential retail outlets have been closed and F&B outlets impose takeaway-only measures.
If you've been craving ice cream from home and yet can't head out to buy some, here's your solution.
Old school flavours
In an announcement made in a Facebook post, Traditional Old School Ice Cream will be offering home deliveries of ice cream for certain areas in the northeastern part of Singapore.
And yes, the ice cream appears to be the same as those you can get from ice cream uncles at their carts.
It's also halal-certified, according to the Facebook post.
Deliveries will be open from Apr. 8, 2020 onwards, and will take place from 6pm to 10pm.
One box of ice cream, which can be cut into eight blocks, will be selling for S$8.
Here's what an individual box looks like.
You can add on traditional waffle biscuits at S$1 for 16 pieces, for those who like it sandwich-style.
Yum.
The delivery fee is S$4, but purchase three boxes or more and delivery is free.
Unfortunately, deliveries will only be available at Punggol, Compassvale, Sengkang and Rivervale.
So all other Singaporeans will have to be content with supermarket-bought ice cream.
Those interested can order via their Whatsapp number in the Facebook post, and deliveries will take a day to arrive.
