The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced a record 386 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Singapore on Monday (Apr. 13).
In its press release, MOH noted that it has been monitoring existing clusters for any further transmission.
Since there have been no further cases linked to the private dinner function at SAFRA Jurong on Feb. 15 for the past two incubation periods, or 28 days, MOH has announced that the cluster has now been closed.
SAFRA Jurong cluster
The SAFRA Jurong cluster had a total of 47 cases linked to it prior to being closed: Cases 94, 96, 107, 112, 114, 115, 116, 117, 118, 120, 121, 122, 125, 127, 128, 129, 130, 131, 133, 134, 137, 139, 140, 142, 144, 145, 146, 148, 149, 150, 155, 156, 157, 158, 159, 160, 161, 164, 166, 174, 179, 185, 186, 196, 201, 218 and 224.
The most recent cases linked to the SAFRA Jurong cluster, Cases 218 and Case 224, were announced on Mar. 15.
One of the attendees had gone to the dinner on Feb. 15, despite feeling unwell. The person subsequently tested positive for Covid-19.
The cluster was subsequently identified and announced on Mar. 5.
The first four cases announced to be part of the cluster on Mar. 5 were Cases 114, 115, 116, and 117.
