Cold Storage dismisses Rail Mall temp staff after he allegedly circulated photos of female patrons

A police report has also been made.

The Cold Storage temperature screening staff who allegedly took photos of female customers and circulated them in a group chat has been dismissed, said a Dairy Farm spokesperson.

The photos were allegedly taken without the subjects' knowledge or consent.

"We take the privacy and safety of our customers very seriously and do not tolerate this kind of behaviour," said the spokesperson.

"Since this has come to our attention, we have taken swift action and removed the person responsible immediately."

A police report was also made. The police confirm a report was lodged and are looking into the matter

The person in question was a temporary staff engaged through an employment agency to support additional manpower needs for temperature screening and contact tracing.

He was deployed at the Cold Storage outlet at Rail Mall.

"We have also reminded all our temporary staff at our stores currently manning our temperature checks and contact tracing stations that such behaviour will be dealt with quickly and where necessary, with legal action," said the spokesperson.

"We thank the media and members of the public for quickly bringing this up to our attention for our address."
