In this time of Covid-19, most of us are finding creative outlets to express ourselves and while away the time.
Made parody of iconic Les Misérables scene
Two Singaporeans, Christan Sow and Leonard Bradley went above and beyond, creating a Les Misérables parody based on one of the most iconic scenes in the 2012 movie.
Sow rewrote the lyrics to the classic scene where Inspector Javert releases Jean Valjean, a.k.a. prisoner 24601 on parole.
The parody references recent events that followed the tightening of circuit breaker measures, along with snide references to individuals who flouted the rules.
The song was then sung by Bradley.
You can watch the masterpiece on Sow's Facebook post here:
Now citizen 24601
Your time is up for being so chao kuan (having a bad attitude)
You know what that means?
Yes,it means I'm free...
No...Tell you to stay home you go NTUC
And then queue whole night for those cups of bubble tea
You're a dangerous man
CB extend four weeks...
McDonald's already shut
No more haircut
You will have bad hair
Unless you learn the meaning of the law
There's no meaning if there's no milk tea and golden bubbles
Five weeks for what you did!
For spitting and walking without a mask!
Yes 24601
I just want bak kut teh
Gahmen say cannot
Do not forget this
Do not pray pray
24601
Stay home...stay home...
Why can't you all stay home
Stay home...stay home...
Until the first of June...
Genius.
