Healthcare workers toil and care for patients tirelessly as the daily number of Covid-19 cases in Singapore continues to increase.
Since the start of the outbreak, many people and organisations have been showing their support for them in different ways.
Realistic portraits to honour contributions of healthcare workers
One Tang Yaling has been drawing portraits of healthcare workers to honour their hard work and dedication since the start of April.
Tang is an artist who teaches at an art studio that she founded in 2016 called "Art Remnant".
Speaking to Mothership, Tang said that she was inspired to draw portraits of the healthcare workers after knowing that the mother of one of her students is a nurse at the National Centre of Infectious Diseases (NCID).
Tang then decided to do a portrait to show support for the student's mother.
Here it is:

Lessons at Tang's art studio were later disrupted by the Circuit Breaker and so, she spent her free time to draw more portraits.
The frontline workers that Tang drew ranged from nurses and doctors to therapists and radiologists who work at different hospitals and clinics in Singapore.
Tang shared that she gets the photographs of the healthcare workers from her students' parents, many of whom are healthcare workers themselves.
Here they are:

She has also posted videos detailing the process of these drawings on Facebook, which she uses soft pastels to create:
Has invited students to draw healthcare workers too
As of April 23, Tang has drawn more than 20 portraits, which can be found on her Instagram account or Facebook page.
She has also invited her students to join her in showing their love for healthcare workers through their drawings:
Nice.
