It's been almost a month into the Circuit Breaker period but there are some things people are still confused about.
For those who are living in condominiums, the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) said that exercising and dog walking have to be done outside of the condominium premises.
This is part of the Covid-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020 which came into force on 8 April.
BCA said that residents living in condominiums are not allowed to exercise or walk their dogs within the common areas such as gardens, playgrounds, pools, other open spaces and paths.
In response to Mothership's query, BCA explained that this is because these common areas can get crowded and there is a difficulty in enforcing safe distancing.
The same reasoning applies to the closure of sports and recreational facilities in the condominiums during the circuit breaker period.
Residents can, however, exercise or walk their dogs in public areas such as public paths, green or open spaces.
"These public areas could be any public path, a green or an open space that is managed or maintained for the Government or a public body, and is accessible to the general public without payment of any fee," according to the spokesperson.
However, dog owners do not have to carry their dogs out of the condominiums when they are walking their dogs out to public areas.
BCA also hopes to seek public understanding on the matter, and urges everyone to comply with the requirements to curb the spread of Covid-19.
