Two suspected drug offenders were arrested, according to a CNB news release.

They are both Singaporean males, aged 41 and 44.

40g of heroin found in car

According to the news release, in the late hours of Apr. 8, CNB officers spotted a suspected drug offender — a 44-year-old male — board a car driven by another suspected drug offender, a 41-year-old-male, around of Pipit Road in MacPherson.

The 44-year-old shortly then got off from the car soon after, and the 41-year-old male drove off, followed by CNB officers.

CNB officers then arrested the 41-year-old suspect at a multi-storey carpark near Sembawang Crescent, where they found approximately 40g of heroin inside the car.

Drugs and cash found in other suspect's car and home

Another group of CNB officers raided the hideout of the 44-year-old male suspect, a unit around Pipit Road.

He refused to open the door, so the officers had to use forced entry.

The 44-year-old suspect was arrested within the unit, and officers found cash amounting to S$459.45 within the unit.

The suspect was escorted to his rented car, which was parked nearby, in which about 2,250g of heroin and S$3,350 in cash were found in various parts of the car.

The 44-year-old suspect was then brought to his official residential unit near Yishun Street 61, where officers found 120g of 'Ice'.

According to CNB, the total of 2.29kg of heroin seized in this operation is sufficient to feed the addictions of around 1,090 drug abusers for a week.

Investigations are ongoing.
