The Singapore Safety Driving Centre (SSDC) has suspended its operations in view of the current Covid-19 pandemic.
According to an announcement on its official website, SSDC explained that they were informed by the traffic police to temporarily shut its operations from now till May 4, 2020.
This is in line with the circuit breaker measures implemented by the government.
No practical and theory lessons during suspension period
All motorcar, motorcycle, and heavy vehicle practical lessons will be automatically cancelled by SSDC's system.
The fee paid will be credited back to the customers' student accounts.
Meanwhile, theory and practical tests booked during this suspension period will be postponed by the traffic police.
SSDC clarified that customers do not need to cancel the test date themselves.
Online system and hotline not available
In addition to the closure of its centre, SSDC's online system will be closed.

Unlucky customer
On Apr. 7, one Alan Tan uploaded a picture on Facebook of a notice placed at SSDC's entrance.
Tan had travelled to SSDC to complete his driving license exam, only to find out that the centre has shut.
In his caption, he wrote: I learned it in vain."
