7 new Covid-19 clusters in S'pore: 4 dormitory/construction, 2 F&B, 1 industrial park

The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced 233 new cases of the Covid-19 infection in Singapore on April 12, 2020.

Seven new Covid-19 clusters have also been identified, including Black Tap, a restaurant at Marina Bay Sands (MBS), and a cluster involving three McDonald's outlets.

The other five clusters are linked to three foreign worker dormitories, a Kenyon/UBS construction site at 9 Penang Road, and Woodlands Industrial Park E1.

Black Tap MBS cluster

Eight earlier confirmed cases have been identified and linked to a new cluster at Black Tap at MBS.

Those identified are cases 879, 1010, 1235, 1397, 1402, 1561, 1612 and 1618.

Case 879 is a 26-year-old Singaporean man, with travel history to Malaysia.

He was confirmed with Covid-19 on Mar. 30, 2020, and was isolated in Changi General Hospital.

McDonald's cluster

On April 12, McDonald's Singapore released a statement which wrote that five of their employees have been diagnosed with Covid-19.

Four of them, cases 1973, 2066, 2096 and 2302 have been linked to the newly-identified cluster, between outlets at Forum shopping centre, Lido and Parklane.

The four cases are in their 20s to 40s.

Acacia Lodge cluster

Three of the newly confirmed cases are linked to 12 previous cases, forming a new cluster at Acacia Lodge (530-540 Bukit Batok Street 23).

Currently, cases 898, 1270, 1336, 1495, 1505, 1956, 1626, 1695, 1993, 2003, 2004, 2286, 2348, 2491 and 2492 are linked to the cluster at Acacia Lodge.

Tuas View Dormitory cluster

Two of the newly confirmed cases are linked to six previous cases, forming a new cluster at Tuas View Dormitory (70 Tuas South Avenue 1).

Cases 1473, 1539, 1996, 2071, 2242, 2134, 2329 and 2334 are linked to the Tuas View Dormitory cluster.

Woodlands Industrial Park cluster

20 of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to a new cluster at 36 Woodlands Industrial Park E1.

Cases 1724, 1725, 1834, 1837, 1838, 1912, 1913, 1987, 1988, 1989, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2048, 2051, 2053, 2073, 2074, 2076 and 2077 are linked to this cluster.

Kallang Dormitory cluster

Five of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to a new cluster at 85 Kallang Dormitory (85 Kallang Avenue).

Cases 1585, 2059, 2062, 2097 and 2172 are linked to this cluster.

Cluster formed at Kenyon/UBS construction site

Eight of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to a new cluster at a Kenyon/ UBS construction site (9 Penang Road).

Cases 1647, 1939, 1940, 1941, 1942, 2280, 2281 and 2291 are linked to this cluster.
