A Japanese couple in Takaharu, Miyazaki made a real-life Totoro bus stop for their grandchildren as a surprise.
Here is the process.
Ta-dah.
Their granddaughter appears to have enjoyed the little surprise.
But perhaps not as much as these Ghibli superfans.

Do take note that the bus stop is near residential areas, so noise regulation is very much appreciated.
