Singapore has contributed medical supplies to the government of the Philippines to help fight the Covid-19 outbreak.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs shared in a statement on March 24 that Singapore contributed the following:
- 3,000 diagnostic tests.
- One polymerase chain reaction (PCR) machine.
The offer was made in a phone call between Health Minister Gan Kim Yong and Philippine Secretary of Health Francisco Duque III.
The supplies will help the Philippines to detect cases of Covid-19 more quickly.
On March 24, Singapore Ambassador to the Philippines Gerard Ho handed over the supplies to Philippine Secretary of Foreign Affairs Teodoro L Locsin Jr. in Manila.
