The Electoral Boundaries Review Committee (EBRC) report, which was released on March 13, introduced four new Single-Member Constituencies (SMCs) to the Singaporean voters.
These are:
- Kebun Baru SMC
- Marymount SMC
- Punggol West SMC
- Yio Chu Kang SMC
Here are the MPs who are currently representing these areas.
1. Kebun Baru
Situated near Ang Mo Kio and Yio Chu Kang, the new Kebun Baru SMC contains 22,413 voters, according to the EBRC report.
According to Nee Soon Town Council's website, Kebun Baru is represented by the People's Action Party's (PAP) Henry Kwek Hian Chuan.

Kwek, according to his biography, is the executive director of an investment, trading and management consulting company.
He was elected in the previous general election in 2015.
2. Marymount
The new Marymount SMC appears to have been carved out of what was previously Bishan East Thomson, within Bishan-Toa Payoh Group Representation Constituency (GRC).
Bishan East-Thomson is currently represented by Chong Kee Hiong.
Chong was elected in the 2015 general election.
The new Marymount SMC has 23,439 voters.
3. Punggol West
Punggol West was carved out of the previous Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC.
It is currently represented by Sun Xueling, who is the Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Home Affairs and National Development.
Sun was also elected in the 2015 general election.
The new Punggol West SMC has 25,440 voters.
4. Yio Chu Kang
The new Yio Chu Kang SMC has 26,046 voters.
It appears to have been carved out of Ang Mo Kio GRC.
Yio Chu Kang is currently represented by Koh Poh Koon, the Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry.
Koh previously competed in a by-election for Punggol East SMC in 2013.
However, he lost to Lee Li Lian of the Workers' Party.
Koh was then elected to Parliament in the 2015 general election, as part of Ang Mo Kio GRC.
Will they compete in GE2020?
However, it is not yet confirmed if these MPs will be representing these SMCs in the upcoming 2020 general election.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong previously said that he wished to have more SMCs in the electoral districts.
