In light of Covid-19, some couples have postponed their wedding to prevent a large gathering.
Others however have gone ahead with their wedding as planned, but not without precautionary measures.

Malay weddings would usually have guests gathered to eat together at a designated venue.
After a good meal, they would then bless the couple's marriage and give them some gift money.
Drive-thru wedding
However, Ikin and Mon decided to do it differently in the interest of the health of themselves and their guests.
The couple decided to have a drive-thru wedding.
According to the post, the couple made the effort to be careful by not going to open spaces and avoided contact with others as much as possible.

Instead of doing the "salam" handshake greeting, the couple and guests placed their hands to their chest:

After the greeting, the guest would drive towards the "contribution box" to "deposit' their gift money:

Finally, as a token of appreciation, the groom would give some packed food to the guest.
