The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced 12 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Singapore on March 11, 2020, including three imported cases of Republic of Singapore Air Force servicemen who had returned from France.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 178.
12 new cases
There was also one new case from the SAFRA Jurong cluster.
Meanwhile, the ministry said three patients recovered and were discharged from hospital on Wednesday.
A total of 96 Covid-19 patients have now been discharged.
82 patients are still in hospital, while there are now nine patients in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
Cases 167 and 178
Case 178 is an imported case involving a 37-year-old male Filipino national who is a Singapore Work Pass holder.
He had been in the Philippines from Feb. 11 to Feb. 19, and again from Feb. 23 to Mar. 2 to visit a relative with pneumonia who has since passed on.
He was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on Mar. 11 morning, and is currently warded in an isolation room at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH).
He is a family member of Case 167.
Case 167 is a 35-year-old female Filipino national who is a Singapore Work Pass holder, and is a family member of Case 178.
She had been in the Philippines from Feb. 11 to Feb. 17. She is currently warded in an isolation room at NTFGH.
She reported onset of symptoms on Mar. 8 and had sought treatment at NTFGH on Mar. 9.
Subsequent test results confirmed Covid-19 infection on Mar. 10 afternoon.
She is employed as a staff nurse at NTFGH and had been at work prior to hospital admission. She stays at Jurong East Street 21.
Case 168
Case 168 is a 47-year-old male Singapore Citizen who has no recent travel history to affected countries and regions. He is currently warded in an isolation room at Sengkang General Hospital (SKH).
He reported onset of symptoms on Mar. 1 and had sought treatment at two general practitioner (GP) clinics on Mar. 2, Mar. 5 and Mar. 8.
He was referred to the emergency department of SKH on Mar. 8, and subsequent test results confirmed Covid-19 infection on Mar. 10 afternoon.
Prior to hospital admission, he had mostly stayed at his home at Rivervale Street.
Case 169
Case 169 is a 40-year-old male Singapore Citizen who had been in France from 15 February to Mar. 7.
He is currently warded in an isolation room at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH). He is a contact of Cases 165, 173 and 175, and is one of the imported cases who had been in France on official duty.
He reported onset of symptoms on Mar. 9 and presented at the emergency department of KTPH on Mar. 10.
Subsequent test results confirmed Covid-19 infection on Mar. 10 afternoon.
Prior to hospital admission, he had gone to the Health Promotion Board for an unrelated matter.
He is a Republic of Singapore Air Force serviceman but had not gone to work since returning to Singapore. He stays at Yishun Street 81.
Case 170
Case 170 is an imported case involving a 56-year-old female Indonesian national who had arrived in Singapore on Mar. 9.
She is currently warded in an isolation room at Singapore General Hospital (SGH). She is a family member of Case 152.
She reported onset of symptoms on Mar. 6 while in Indonesia, and presented at SGH on Mar. 9 after arrival in Singapore.
Subsequent test results confirmed Covid-19 infection on Mar. 10 afternoon.
Case 171
Case 171 is an imported case involving a 27-year-old male Singapore Citizen who had been in France from Feb. 25 to Mar. 1, and Spain from Mar. 1 to Mar. 6.
He was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on Mar. 11 morning, and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.
Case 172
Case 172 is a 42-year-old female Philippines national who is a Singapore Work Pass Holder, and had been in the Philippines from Feb. 27 to Mar. 2.
She was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on Mar. 11 morning, and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.
Case 173
Case 173 is a 31-year-old male Singapore Citizen who had been in France from Feb. 15 to Mar. 7.
He was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on Mar. 11 morning, and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.
He is a Republic of Singapore Air Force serviceman, and is a contact of Cases 165, 169 and 175.
He is one of the imported cases who had been in France on official duty. He had not gone to work since returning to Singapore.
Case 174
Case 174 is a 67-year-old female Singapore Citizen who has no recent travel history to affected countries and regions.
She was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on Mar. 11 morning, and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.
She is linked to the cluster involving the private dinner function at SAFRA Jurong.
Case 175
Case 175 is an imported case of a 44-year-old male Singapore Citizen who had been in France from Feb. 15 to Mar. 7.
He was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on Mar. 11 morning, and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.
He is a Republic of Singapore Air Force serviceman, and is a contact of Cases 165, 169 and 173.
He is one of the imported cases who had been in France on official duty. He had not gone to work since returning to Singapore.
Case 176
Case 176 is an imported case involving a 37-year-old female British national who had been in Japan from Feb. 24 to Mar. 4, and the UK from Mar. 4 to Mar. 8.
She was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on Mar. 11 morning, and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.
Case 177
Case 177 is an imported case involving a 26-year-old male Singapore Citizen who had been in the US from Feb. 14 to Feb. 24, the UK from Feb. 28 to Mar. 1, and France from Mar. 2 to Mar. 7.
He was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on Wednesday morning, and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.
Discharged cases
Cases 92, 106 and 148 have been discharged from hospital, bringing the total number of discharged cases to 96.
Case 92
Case 92 is a 47 year-old male Singapore Citizen who had no recent travel history to China.
He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on February 26 morning and was warded in an isolation room at Sengkang General Hospital.
Case 106
Case 106 is a 54 year-old male Japanese national who is a Singapore Work Pass holder, and had no recent travel history to China, Daegu and Cheongdo.
He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on March 1 morning and was warded in an isolation room at NCID.
Case 148
Case 148 is a 67-year-old female Singapore citizen who had been to Indonesia from Feb. 11 to Feb. 14. She was warded in an isolation room at NCID.
She is a contact of Case 107, and is linked to the cluster involving the private dinner function at SAFRA Jurong.
She was confirmed to have a Covid-19 infection on the morning of Mar. 8.
