A fire broke out at Causeway Point earlier today (Mar. 14).
According to tweets and accounts from people on the ground, smoke could be seen coming out of the mall's Texas Chicken store.
An announcement was made over the PA system informing shoppers that an alarm was triggered and they were instructed to leave the mall.
Staff members of other stores in the mall were also evacuated.

SCDF response
In response to queries by Mothership, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that it responded to a fire at 1 Woodlands West at about 6.10pm:
"SCDF responded to a fire at 1 Woodlands West at about 6:10pm. The fire involved a kitchen exhaust duct at one of the units on level 1. It was extinguished prior to SCDF’s arrival. No one was injured."
