Car bursts into flames at Compassvale Walk in the afternoon

No one was injured, fortunately.

A black car in Sengkang burst into flames on Friday, March 6, 2020.

A resident living in the vicinity told Mothership that he heard a loud sound from his home.

He then saw black smoke outside his window.

The stationary black car along the service road of Block 232 Compassvale Walk could be seen engulfed in flames within minutes.

Many onlookers gathered nearby as both the police and firemen were alerted to the incident.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force told Mothership it responded to the incident at around 5:40pm.

According to its statement, the fire, which involved a car, was extinguished by SCDF using a water jet.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
