Random acts of kindness always help to remind us of the shared humanity between each of us.
One woman in Singapore shared her family's experience with a kind stranger who secretly paid for their dinner bill on Facebook, and expressed her thanks to the woman she suspects did it.
Family dinner
One Nannie Asniar took to Facebook on Friday, Mar. 13 to share the heartwarming story.
In her post, Nannie explained that her family had gone to dinner at Al-Azhar, an Indian-Muslim restaurant located at Beauty World.

Because there was no parking nearby, her husband dropped her and their daughters off to order and eat first, while he went to park their car.
While she was eating, Nannie said she noticed a Chinese woman sitting alone at a neighbouring table who was smiling as she watched Nannie's daughters eat.
Nannie explained that it was a "normal sight" for her, so she did not think much of it.
When the Chinese woman stood up to leave after finishing dinner, Nannie said that she "somehow noticed" her peeking at their table number.
She did not think much of that either, since she was busy with her daughters.
Dinner had been paid for already
The real surprise came for Nannie when Azheem came back from parking the car.
As he was about to sit down at the table, one of the waiters approached them to give them their receipt, which totalled S$15.90.
He then informed them that it had been fully paid for already.
On the receipt, someone had written "Paid" and "Enjoy dinner".

While Nannie acknowledged that she is not completely certain of who paid for their meal, she has a "strong feeling" that it was the Chinese woman who had been sitting at the table beside them.
She concluded her post explaining how, although she wasn't able to thank the woman personally, she "strongly believe[s] that social media is the strongest platform to reach out to her".
She added that the woman's actions and gave her family a "positive vibe" and brought smiles to their faces, and that they would pass on the kindness to the next family.

Husband also expressed thanks
Azheem also took to his Facebook to share his gratitude to the kind stranger.
He shared his wife's post, adding, "I may not know who you are but I am thankful to have come across such a good person like you.. May God bless you and keep the virus away from you.."
He also encouraged others to share the post so that they are able to thank the person who paid for their meal.
