First Netflix, and now Spotify.
Studio Ghibli's original soundtracks will be available globally on the music streaming platform from March 1, 2020, a Spotify spokesperson confirms with Mothership.
The Japanese animation studio is best known for movies like "Spirited Away", "Howl's Moving Castle", and "My Neighbour Totoro", with music largely composed by Joe Hisaishi.
SoraNews reports that a total of 38 albums, or 693 tracks, will be added.
Currently, there are only covers and performances of the soundtracks, as well as Hisaishi playlists and albums.
23 of the albums are soundtracks to all Studio Ghibli films, except "Grave of the Fireflies" and "The Red Turtle".
