Singapore Airlines (SIA) and SilkAir will temporarily reduce services across their network, citing weak demand from the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak.
According to SIA, affected customers will be notified and re-accommodated onto other flights.
Large number of cancelled flights across many destinations
A large number of flights will be cancelled across SIA and SilkAir's network, including flights to popular destinations such as Sydney, Taipei, Seoul, London and Los Angeles.
The affected flights will be on selected dates between February 2020 and May 2020.
SIA said that the airline will continue to monitor the situation, and will make further adjustments as necessary.
Passengers that booked their tickets with SIA directly are advised to contact the SIA reservations team if they require assistance, while passengers who booked their tickets through a travel agency are advised to contact their agent directly for assistance.
