A lady named Sutha Krishnan recently shared online about a heartwarming incident that occurred to her and her family, involving a kind Gojek driver.
Owner left bag on top of taxi
In a post to a Facebook group for Grab and Gojek drivers, Sutha wrote about how her uncle had lost his bag full of belongings while taking a cab.
Her uncle was a businessman who had just arrived in Singapore the day before the incident.
However, he misplaced his Louis Vuitton bag on top of a taxi that he boarded, and the bag likely fell off and onto the roadside.
A passing Gojek driver on his way home at midnight though, spotted the bag and picked it up.
Family spent whole night looking for bag which contained "thousands of dollars"
The driver, Andy Tan, attempted to contact them, but the family kept missing his calls.
Sutha revealed that they had spent the whole night looking for the missing bag, as it contained all of the uncle's important documents including cheque book, name cards and "thousands of dollars".
They had even filed a police report.
Worrying over his missing belongings, Sutha's uncle was unable to sleep as "he thought he could never get back his bag".
Driver returned all his belongings
The next day, Tan managed to contact Sutha and her family, and "after some verification" over the phone, even travelled all the way to their place to pass the bag back to its owner.
Sutha shared that her uncle was "overjoyed", and rewarded Tan with a "little gift".
Sutha was clearly impressed with the Tan's kindness and integrity, saying that "mostly [people] will take the cash and probably return just the ID".
She ended her post by thanking Tan and Gojek "because if he didn't drive for you, we wouldn't have got back the bag."
Here's a cute photo of her happy uncle posing with Tan.
