On Feb. 21, the Ministry of Health (MOH) announced that ten more Covid-19 patients have been discharged from the hospital.
They are patients 3, 23, 27, 50, 51, 57, 63, 70, 83 and 84, bringing the total number of discharge cases to 47.
MOH also confirmed and verified one more case of COVID-19 infection in Singapore, which is linked to a previous case, bringing to the total number of confirmed cases to 86.
1 new confirmed case: Case 86
The case, revealed earlier today through a leaked circular, is a 24-year-old male Singaporean with no recent travel history to China and is linked to Case 82.
He is currently warded in an isolation room at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH).
He reported onset of symptoms on 14 February and had sought treatment at two general practitioner (GP) clinics on February 16 and February 18.
He went to the emergency department at Ng Teng Feng General Hospital on February 19 and was immediately isolated.
Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on February 20 afternoon.
Prior to hospital admission, he had mostly stayed at his home at Bukit Batok East Avenue 5.
He is a student at the Singapore Institute of Technology, but had not gone to school since the onset of symptoms.
Contact tracing is ongoing.
